Most frequent questions and answers

The festival takes place at the Crystal Gateway Marriott located at 1700 Richmond Highway, Arlington, VA 22202. This 4.5-star hotel is located just minutes from D.C. and the DCA airport.

Parking is available at the hotel at a discounted rate ($29.25 per day). We recommend using the alternative parking source below or the metro. The hotel is also located directly above the Crystal City Metro stop, making it to travel to and from the festival without a vehicle.

Once you arrive at the hotel, proceed to the second floor and check in at the festival registration desk (near the candlelight conversations Skyview area). There will be signs guiding the way.

The registration hours are as follows:

Thursday: 4:00pm – 12:00am

Friday: 8:00am – 2:00am

Saturday: 8:00am – 2:00am

Sunday: 8:00am – 2:00am

Please bring your photo ID and ticket info. You will be provided a specific type of wristband to confirm your registration. There will be optional nametags available at the front desk.

If you are staying at the host hotel, proceed to the hotel front desk upon arrival to receive your keys. If you’re looking for shared hotel accommodations, please join the room sharing group. For those seeking another option consider staying at the overflow Crystal City Marriott hotel.

Food and beverages are permitted on site, but we kindly ask all in attendance to keep the workshop spaces clear of trash and waste. We encourage everyone to bring a water bottle to fill at water stations instead of using disposable cups. Please consider bringing your own reusable cups/utensils to reduce our impact on the environment.

All pass holders will receive access by email to the Sched system to plan their experience. Pass holders may visit the  Schedule page at any time to log back in and see their personal schedules. At this time signups are not required in an effort to reduce congestion in hallways. Arriving 15 minutes early to popular daytime activities and workshops is recommended.

There are no common refrigerators on the festival grounds. Please plan on bringing non-perishable food or a lunch box/cooler to store any food you bring.

There are several restaurant and food options available during the festival including a restaurant in the hotel and several fast food options located near the entrance of the metro. There’s a Whole Foods Market a 6-minute walk from the hotel as well as many neighboring restaurants. 

The hotel provides a complimentary round-trip shuttle to/from Reagan National Airport. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes from 05:00 AM – 12:00 AM. If you would like to arrange pick up from the airport to the hotel please call the Shuttle Phone at 703-920-3230. The airport is located just 2 miles from the hotel.

The hotel is located directly above the Crystal City Metro stop, making it easy for you to travel in the areas in and surrounding the nation’s capital. Please ask the hotel staff for directions to the metro station.

Interfusion Festival follows all state and federal mandates at the time of the event. At this time Interfusion Festival is not collecting information on vaccination status of persons seeking to participate in IFVIII. It is recommended that participants have a mask on hand and use it based on individual risk tolerance. Testing before and during the festival is strongly encouraged.

The participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats to use for daytime activities and workshops. Backup yoga mats and Mexican blankets are provided in selected locations on site.

To report any incidents of inappropriate behavior online, use the Incident Reporting Form. The festival consent team has the authority to take actions if the behavior of any individual or small group detracts from the safe, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of Interfusion Festival VIII.

Our team of volunteers and staff are here to support you. If you require assistance for a consent-related incident, you can find a Consent Team member either at the Consent Booth or around the Festival grounds, who will be wearing lanyards that say “Consent”. You may also reach out to any staff or volunteers and ask them to contact the Consent Team on your behalf.
