Bypo Phoenix

BYPO PHOENIX, aka David Thurston, is an organizer, psychotherapist, mental health strategist, poet, and multi-media artist. He founded the BYPO Institute in 2025 as a center for exploring amplifying neurodivergence, creative expression, and collective liberation. BYPO has a large archive of poems inspired by visual art on his website, and is the creator of eight poetry zines and poetry albums. BYPO became acquainted with Interfusion as an organizer with the Center for New Culture. He specializes in leading engaged conversations about anti-oppression practice, mental health, and popular culture.
