Rubaba, also known as Hemant Kapoor, is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, film producer, and audio engineer with over three decades of dedication to music as a spiritual path. A devoted Naad Yogi, he fuses his deep training in Indian and Western classical music with his soul’s yearning for oneness. His performances are immersive journeys—rituals of vibration designed to help the listener move from devotion to movement to finally stillness.
His global sound draws from Indian classical, African, Moroccan, Celtic, and Sufi traditions, layered with modern electronic textures and intricate instrumentation—rubab, guitar, ethnic flutes, keyboards, and percussion woven into a rich and living tapestry. Whether through a whispered chant, a thunderous beat, or a single soaring note, Rubaba crafts experiences that are both grounding and transcendent.
