Based in the Washington, D.C. area, Markus Smith is an award-winning dance champion, choreographer, instructor, DJ, singer, songwriter, and producer whose creative work bridges the worlds of dance and music. As a principal artist with StuckOnSwing, Markus is known for a distinctive style influenced by D.C. Hand Dance, Hip Hop, and West Coast Swing, blending groove, musicality, creativity, and improvisation.
His performance credits include appearances on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, BET’s 106 & Park, and the feature film Love N’ Dancing. In 2025, Markus and his dance partner and life partner, Tren, became US Open Strictly Swing Champions, adding another major achievement to their competitive career.
